World Milk Day 2025

On 1st June 2025, World Milk Day is celebrated globally – recognising the power of dairy and the impact milk has on global health, nutrition, livelihoods and sustainability.

At Drayne’s Farm, we been producing, processing and distributing milk and cream since 1932 and fully understand the importance of the dairy sector from farm to table.

A recent independent report concluded that Drayne’s Farm milk is produced using 40% less carbon emissions than the industry standard and our aim is to secure carbon neutrality by 2040.  Solar panels fixed to several roofs at the farm currently supply 40% of the electricity required to operate, and by processing the milk in our own state of the art facility, we can distribute it using our own dedicated fleet of vehicles.

To help celebrate World Milk Day, we delivered little bottles of milk to every pupil at our neighbouring school, Ballymacash Primary on one of our original electric milk floats, much to the delight of the children who had no idea that electric vehicles were around “in olden times!”
